Yes, let the pixie out! 🧚🏼‍♀️ Leaving behind domestic drudgery would be "cutting" free. I would make a dress out of film negatives and do the grocery shopping in that. :)

I would love to see you in that dress, Marisa! How do we find ways to step into those pixie peeps, even if temporarily? I'm seriously considering a temp color on my hair. A great subject for a zine!

This is a such a wonderful bit of writing and resonates deeply. I too was always the good daughter, wife, mother and I’m still learning how to keep my wings while also utilizing a little pixie dust to help me soar. :)

That balance is tricky, isn't it? Glad the piece resonates with you x

This is magic and I want to print this piece in my next zine! Although, you might want to keep it to yourself! I’m writing about the hungry housewife and lately I ask the question, “Why am I so quick to behave? To fall in line?” I’m going to write my own love letter to the rebel in myself. And please! Get that tattoo, that pink hair and change your name! Do it all!

Thanks Maria. Loving the idea of writing a love letter to your inner rebel! "I'm so sorry I neglected you..." might be the start of mine. So glad you are allowing the hungry housewife to have a voice - I can't wait to hear what she has to say!
